Animal Shelter And Low

Adell is the loving owner of three large dogs – Izzy, Boots, and Lonnie – who can be expensive to feed. She first found PAWS when Izzy had an accidental litter of puppies. Adell turned to PAWS to find loving homes for the pups, and to get all three of her dogs spayed and neutered so this litter would be their last. Not knowing where to turn when your pet needs help is anguishing.

Please make sure to read all the information about surrendering a pet, so you know what to bring and what to expect.

Step 5 Bring Your New Pet Home!!!

Just six weeks later, Brittini and her family members were joyfully reunited! When Brittini lost her pet friendly housing, she chose to live out of her car rather than part with her beloved cats, Simba and Smokey. In spite of the challenges she was facing, she still made sure to schedule them for their annual vaccination appointments at PAWS. Most pets are held a mandatory period of time, and must pass a temperament test before being made available for adoption. Carefully consider if it is the right size, temperament, and breed for you. Consider daily care and home environment needs, training and other pets and children at home. If there are other pets and children in the home, a meet and greet return visit will need to be arranged to ensure a good fit. The Placer County Animal Shelter is always in need of basic items for our animals.

Our mission is to promote and protect the health, safety and welfare of the animals and people in Placer County. Tahoe animal services are available at the Truckee Animal Shelter. LA Animal Services operates six animal shelters throughout the City of Los Angeles. You don’t have to be an animal expert to help out at your community’s shelter. You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt from our shelter.

Additionally shelter volunteers can provide more information about their medical background, personality and the circumstances that caused their arrival at the shelter. The pandemic has prompted a shift toward more intensive, individualized care for more complex needs. If you are in search of a family-friendly pet, check your shelter first. Many shelters have puppies and kittens but you may find that your heart opens up to an older animal. When you choose to adopt an animal for a local shelter, you can be guaranteed that your animal has been monitored and checked out by a veterinarian before you take them home. Animal shelters try to ensure that pets have received their shots and many dogs and cats will have already been spayed and neutered.
